Campus just got a whole lot cuter. 🎀
University of Toronto and Hello Kitty officially landed on at U of T Bookstores last week, in collaboration with lifestyle brand Sanrio.
The line features the U of T marks with Hello Kitty graphics on a range of apparel, from cozy hoodies to light and breezy tees, along with a wide range of stickers. Trademark Licensing celebrated the launch with a very special Hello Kitty halftime contest at the @varsityblues home opener and a successful launch on St. George campus.
Iconic collaborations like this would not be possible without the mobilization of students demanding more from the University — TML continues to protect U of T`s mark while maintaining all merchandise supports fair labour and a sustainable supply chain.

Pride, in colour. 🏳️🌈
Joy was on full display at the FitzGerald Building last week as Spaces & Experiences (S&E) and the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture (PSEC) hosted their annual Pride celebration.
Bringing together colleagues from across the University, the event created space for music, performance, connection, and reflection. A grazing table made by St. George Catering kept attendees full as they enjoyed a drag performance by Messy Margaret, a Pride runway featuring members of the U of T Drag Club and Spaces & Experiences staff, and a story time exploring key moments in U of T’s queer history.
Happy Pride, U of T! 💙 Read the full article at the link in our bio.

🇨🇦⚽ Team Canada fever hits Front Campus!
The Campus Events & Conference Services team is proud to help bring Team Canada’s soccer matches to the U of T community through a series of outdoor watch parties.
Behind the scenes, our team worked quickly to secure broadcast licence rights, obtain permits, coordinate infrastructure and event logistics, and install a giant outdoor screen—all within tight timelines.
The result? Our Front Campus full of students, faculty, staff, and community members coming together to cheer on Canada and experience the excitement of the world’s biggest game right here on campus.
Thank you to everyone who helped make these events possible and create an unforgettable atmosphere for the U of T community.
Don’t miss the next watch party tonight and on June 24! Go Canada Go!

Toronto Tech Week 2026 wrapped up last week, an event that brought together the people and ideas shaping what’s next in tech across the city. For the second year in a row, our Campus Events & Conference Services (CECS) team welcomed the tech community to the University of Toronto.
As part of this citywide momentum, CECS supported the execution of 10 events at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus—a hub for innovation and technology—where companies, founders, and thinkers came together to connect, share insights, and strengthen the local tech community.
The CECS team also collaborated with University of Toronto Entrepreneurship to present the Desjardins Speaker Series at Convocation Hall—the largest Tech Week event at U of T—as well as the Lawn Party on Front Campus, where attendees connected with innovators to learn about the companies driving Toronto’s tech growth.
CECS is proud to support the innovators and changemakers shaping what’s next — and to provide the spaces where those conversations happen. 🤝 #TorontoTechWeek #UofT #UniversityOfToronto

After 23 years of helping to shape the student experience at the University of Toronto, Anne Macdonald, Spaces & Experiences’ Assistant Vice-President, is reflecting this week on her long career as she prepares for retirement.
“It’s like climbing a mountain — you don’t realize as you’re going up exactly where you are,” says Anne. “And then you get to the top and you turn around and you go, ‘Wow, look at that view’."
As a longtime architect of campus life and the founding leader of the Spaces & Experiences portfolio, Anne reimagined how students, staff, and faculty live, eat, gather and experience the university.
Under her direction, U of T brought food services in-house, expanded student and family housing, modernized event services and built a unified portfolio that now touches on many aspects of campus life.
The Spaces & Experiences team is incredibly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. We will miss her steady leadership, but we are thrilled for her next chapter.
